Hi, I’m Nimish Peter.
Nimish Peter is a naturalist, herpetologist, and wildlife photographer based in the United Arab Emirates. His work is devoted to documenting the hidden lives of reptiles, arachnids, and desert fauna across Arabia, with a particular focus on rare and venomous species such as vipers, false cobras, and wonder geckos.
Through his lens, Nimish captures the fragile coexistence between rapid urban development and the desert's wildlife — bringing global attention to the conservation challenges facing the region. By revealing creatures most people never see, he hopes to build appreciation for the Arabian wilderness and the urgent need to protect it.
Nimish currently works with the Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund and Mubadala on the Blanford's Fox project, an important initiative for safeguarding one of the UAE's most elusive desert mammals.
